{OpenSky Personal Review}

By The Travelling Tastebuds (Visit website)

The morning started on a VERY sour note.  Remember just a FEW WEEKS AGO when I publicly announced my partnership with OpenSky and the creation of Blawsom Online Boutique?  Well, now I feel scammed.  The company is going through a complete re-organization that is leaving the mass majority of the OpenSky community… well… in big doo doo.  In a nutshell, they are discriminating against sellers and new members who wish to promote favorite products and build their business and favoring those who have been members for quite a bit longer… thus had the opportunity to successfully grow their business and earn OpenSky greater revenue.  They are completely alienating 95% of the community.  How?  Beginning March 2011, only “curators” with a minimum of 4,000 followers will be able to sell products.  These so-called “curators” are already in existence {by selective invitation} attracting followers via frequent giveaways… all sponsored by OpenSky.  This leaves the rest of us at a HUGE disadvantage.  They are heavily promoting their hand-selected “curators” and essentially laying their eggs in one basket.  This is my perspective… if OpenSky doesn’t care about their sellers {regardless of revenue} then I no longer care about them… their business… or their “curators” and will no longer promote hypocrasy and discrimination at its best.   Many members of the OpenSky community have expressed agreement with me and I just don’t see how offending the majority is good business practice.  Apparently, via my communication with the support team, this has been in the works for the past year now yet they continue to unethically accept new sellers knowing full well that come March… they no longer matter.  Sorry to start this post off on such a negative tone… but I just had to get this off my chest… and aaaaaah… I feel much much better :)  Is there anybody else out there that is experiencing dissatisfaction with OpenSky?

Now on to more positive thoughts!!!  I found myself a snazzy new Starbucks location which will be my new office :)  The old one was fine… but it was PACKED to the brim.  At all hours of the day, I had to wait to find a table… made me wonder how so many people could be out of the office at the SAME TIME.  Look at the space!!!

I could sleep here… it is a much more pleasant environment because I don’t have the constant distraction of the crowd.

I swear… Starbucks is OVERFLOWING with wisdom!!!  Great coffee DOES deserve great food!!

Apple fritter, please!!!  Nom nom… I was actually hoping for the mini vanilla scones… but they ran out!!!  Phooey.

Remember my post on the health benefits of cinnamon & honey?  Well, I applied the weight loss tip here substituting water for tea… hope that doesn’t make a difference.  But hey… it makes the apple fritter guilt-free… right?
