A Christmas Breakfast: Ginger Spice French Toast with Ginger Lemon Syrup
Merry Christmas everyone! I am taking a little break while everyone relaxes after a lovely breakfast. I hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Here at the casa everything is good after a good breakfast. The parents stayed the night so I was able to dazzle them with my french toasts...lol. This was very simple actually. I found this beautiful ginger spice bread at the bakery and made normal french toasts. But instead of plain syrup, I wanted to kick up a notch to make more festive, so I took somce syrup, added some greated fresh ginger and about 1 tbsp lemon juice. I warmed the syrup with the extra goodness in it for a few minutes and the warmth released the flavor f the ginger and the lemon. Simply easy and delicious. This year Santa was very generous. I got a food processor/blender and love it! And I also got the Pioneer Woman Cooks cookbook, but I got the Barnes & Noble Gift Edition which has that very cowboy cover. Ever since I saw it at the bookstore I've been drooling. Santa was definitely listening! Merry Christmas! related searches : Christmas
