A Festive Rainy Afternoon Out

By One Scoop At A Time (Visit website)

The recent rains haven't put a damper on our holiday mood. BJ and I recently visited the downtown areas of neighboring cities to enjoy window shopping and meals out. First stop - Los Altos. We mainly walked around and browsed at the locally-owned boutiques.

I also took my Danskos to the Los Altos European Cobblery to get them re-soled. I've been able to extend the life of these clogs to 6+ years (and counting) thanks to their great craftmanship. They not only fixed the heels but gave the shoes a beautiful shine too.

After Los Altos, we cruised to Mountain View downtown for Chinese at Han Gen Szechaun restaurant for some spicy food. I love lunch specials. You get so much food - the salad, soup and a large main serving for under $8 a plate. We ate heartily, Kung Pao Prawns and Spicy Scallops.  I find it adoring that my husband is getting into the habit of taking pictures of our food, for better or for worse.
