A Surprise Package

You may know by now that I love surprises, especially when mystery boxes arrive in the mail! Over the past couple of weeks, I've ordered some clothes and linen for the house during the sales here in France. So I naturally expected packages to be arriving. But then a small box came that looked very official, and there was no return address that I could see. Hmmmmmm?

When I opened it, it was from my first cousin in Oregon. We pretty much grew up together although she is a bit older than I am. We haven't seen each other since 1994, but we send Christmas cards and such. I'm in contact with her granddaughters, because one is crazy like me and lives in Italy. And the other wants to come to France to study cooking. Chips off the old block!
