Al?s photography #9 ? Mornington Peninsula
A day out filled with photography and eating from Sorrento to the very tip of the peninsula… P.S. the eating part will be covered in a later post. Patience my dears! Give a sick man a break… =) These ruins from fortifications built in the late 1800′s, retain rich fragments of memory from WWII. Old tunnels criss-crossing under the forts are still open to public view, and is both an eery and ‘cooling’ experience. A rather morbid sign… Look through beyond and see what remains of a latrine block (aka toilet). Given it was a photography day, there was bound to be lots of me-shoot-you and you-shoot me scenarios… A shot of a shot. Myself caught red handed. I told her to look up. And she looks up quite literally… My landscape photos are by no means any match for Mr CK’s, but here are a few interesting perspectives… Glaring reflection from the deep blue sea. Sometimes you see a sign and consciously ignore the sign, and disobey it. Is it a sunset? Solar eclipse? Actually neither. This was taken mid afternoon in full sun, with exposure dialled right down. Nice ey? There isn’t anything particularly special about this photo, but thought I’d share the frustration of getting shots of insects. It is HARD!!! I went from more than 2 metres away, slowly creeping in on it as quietly and nimble as possible. I need a macro lens! Bokeh! Turns out my camera can do bokeh too! =) My intention with the previous photo was to actually capture a glimpse of the restaurant we were to dine at – how typical of almost always ravenous. The mechanical parts of a tractor… a tractor outside Ten Minutes by Tractor. Sorry to leave you hanging with the mention of food. Have a look at Jeroxie’s review here … until I get mine up.
