Alpine Sliders
Hurley and I went on our weekly grocery shopping trip and I kept thinking to myself," what should I make for dinner?" While we were in the supermarket, Hurley randomly came up with the idea of making sliders. My first thought was, "Where would we find miniature burger buns?" While we were walking around I spotted these great mini bagels and I thought they would be perfect. I remember that there was some gorgonzola cheese and fresh basil leaves in my fridge. When we got home, I got to cooking and it only 20-25 minutes to make which makes a perfect meal for those who want to relax after a long day. These sliders were so juicy and so flavorful they were gone within minutes of putting them on the table.
Alpine Sliders 1lb ground turkey8 mini whole wheat bagels2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 1 tbsp fresh garlic minced 1 tbsp basil1 tbsp parsley 1 tbsp rosemary1 tbsp oregano1 tsp onion powder1/2 cup fresh basil leavesgorgonzola cheese as a toppingdijon mustard as a topping Add ground turkey, basil, parsley, rosemary, oregano, onion powder, and fresh garlic into the bowl. This is where we get messy and use our hands to combine all of the ingredients until thoroughly mixed in. Form miniature patties in about 2 inches in diameter: Place the patties on a grilling pan over medium high heat. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the juices run clear. While the patties are in the final stage of cooking a.k.a. flipped to the other side, separate the bagels. They should already be pre-cut. Put the bagels on a cookie sheet and then drizzle some olive oil over the bagels. The bagels go in the oven and toast for 5-7 minutes at 350 degrees. Assemble the sliders by placing each patty onto each bagel half. Top the patties with the gorgonzola cheese followed by fresh basil leaves: Put some dijon mustard on the top half of the bagel and then top the sliders. The dijon mustard gives the sliders such a unique taste. You have to try it out yourself. You can serve these during a game day gathering or have it as a quick dinner!related searches : Alpine
