Alu Gobi or Cauliflower and Potato (Alu/Aloo)
A working woman is always looking for faster and simpler ways to cook tasty food. My story is not very different from all the others who strive to strike a balance between work and personal life. I am constantly in search of recipes that can be made in less than 15 min. A stock of Gobi and Potatoes is useful in the house. Recipe: Preparation of Alu Gobi: Ingredients Potatoes- 2 Cauliflower-1 Cumin seeds- 1/2 tea spoon 1.Slice the potatoes and the cauliflower into small pieces. 2.Wash the pieces well and drain off the excess water 3. Take 2 table spoons of oil in a pan. 4. Add cumin seeds and wait until they sputter. 5. Add the chopped potatoes and cauliflower into the pan. 6.Add salt 7. Close the pan with the lid and put some water over the lid.(Not into the pan. The veggies inside usually get steam cooked by this process and also become crisp because of the presence of oil. This is something that I usually do for most vegetable fries. This requires the usage of less oil) 8. Wait until the potatoes and cauliflower pieces get cooked. 9. Now add 1 tea spoon of red chilli powder and mix well. 10.The curry is now ready to be served. 11. The preparation time is 15 mins.
