  • Boil the potatoes with little salt in it. Then discard the skin of potato and mash it. Keep it aside.
  • In a bowl, slightly beat an egg and keep it aside. Discard the outer six layers of banana flower and chop finely the edible,soft inner part.
  • Wash the chopped banana flower thoroughly and add 2 talepsoons of oil and a pinch of turmeric powder to it. Mix it good.
  • Adding oil will remove all the stickiness and turmeric powder will prevent the discoloration. Now in a medium heat pan, add a tablepsoon of oil and saute onions and green chilly.
  • Next add the ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes. Then add the banana flower. Add needed salt and cook it in low flame.
  • Next add turmeric powder, red chilly powder,coriander powder and garam masala powder. Saute till the raw smell of masala goes.
  • Next add the mashed potatoes. Check the seasoning and mix it good. Transfer this to a plate and add 3 tablepsoons of bread crumbs to it and mix it good.
  • Adding bread crumbs to the potato mixture will help removing any moisture present in it.
  • Make small patties with desired shape(round,oval or heart shape) using the potato mixture.
  • Dip the patties in egg and then in bread crumbs. Then either deep fry it or shallow fry it in a pan with needed oil.
  • Once it is slightly golden brown through out,transfer it to a plate.'
  • Serve with tomato ketchup.
