Baked Calamari Rings
This baked calamari is truly delicious. I first tasted this preparation at my mother-in-law?s two Christmases ago and fell in love with it. She verbally gave me the ingredients so I replicated the recipe from memory, while adding my two cents. The calamari is really tender and fragrant. The mixture of shallots, white wine and extra virgin olive oil yields an earth-shattering sauce. So I strongly suggest having it with some bread so you can dip it into the sauce and not let a single drop of it go to waste. If you have leftovers, reheat them or enjoy them cold for a ceviche-like experience. Baked Calamari Recipe 4 servings 1 pound calamari, cut into rings 2 shallots, finely grated 2 garlic cloves, pressed 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 2 tablespoons dry white wine Sea salt and freshly ground pepper 1 tablespoon chopped parsley Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Place all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and toss to combine. Transfer to a rimmed baking pan. Bake in the oven until the calamari is cooked and the sauce slightly reduced, 20 to 25 minutes. Serve with bread. related searches : Baked
