Baked NZ Mussels With Garlic ,Cheese & Dills

![]() Christmas is just five days away and I still have not come up with idea of what we would like to have for Christmas dinner- main course . Maybe I have to ask my wild boar for ideas as to what to serve for dinner or rather I have to delegate that task to him. But for now, I would like to share with you this mouth-watering baked NZ mussels with garlic, cheese and dill. A lovely and flavorful starter that you can serve for your coming Christmas dinner :)) I have to try this out before the Christmas dinner and after Jo and myself had savored it , we would definitely want this for our starters for our Christmas dinner...yeah one dish named, the main course, I will leave it to my wild boar. Jo will have to come up with one dessert ...yeah less one job for me ! read on for the recipe :) ![]() Garlic is the most important ingredient in this baked mussels. Chopped garlic mixed with dried italian mixed herbs and olive oil makes the magic potent for the mussels...and the grated mozzarella cheese and dill makes it even more flavorful. ![]() Dashes of cayenne pepper on the mussels for some spicy taste and the whole combination was awesome....these mussels from NZ were quite meaty and I love them baked instead of stir frying them with the seafood sauces. ![]() succulent and fresh ?NZ mussels...... waiting to be put into the oven ![]() top them with lots of grated mozzerella and chopped dills ![]() a tray full of mouth-watering mussels waiting to be baked......... Jo and myself can't wait to savor them..LOL! ![]() Finally , they came out of the oven smelling so good and they tasted so good that Jo and myself ....mmmmmmmm-ing away or you can say we were oinking softly away incase the wild boar lectured us on table manners.......ho ho ho ho....... Ingredients : 14 pieces of NZ mussels - cleaned and drained dry sea salt to taste cayenne pepper (A) 1 clove of garlic - chopped fine 1 tbsp of italian mixed herbs 3 tbsp olive oil grated mozzarella cheese some chopped dills method: Preheat oven to 200C. Mix ingredients A together in a bowl and leave aside. Lay the mussels in rows on a baking tray lined with aluminium foil. Sprinkle salt and cayenne pepper on the mussels. Scoop a heaped tsp of mixture A on each mussel. Cover each mussel with grated cheese and garnish with the chopped dills. Repeat this process on all the mussels. Baked in the oven for 8 minutes or till the cheese has soften . You can serve these as starters . Enjoy and Happy Holidays to all ! * * * related searches : Baked
