Charles Worthington isone of the most sought-after hairdressers for red-carpet events worldwide.Travelling from the Golden Globes, to the BAFTAS, to the Oscars, he also tendsthe tresses of celebrities such as Jools and Jamie Oliver, Noel Gallagher, AnnaFriel and Patsy Kensit.

Top tips: CharlesWorthington advises choosing a style that works for you on the red carpet.

Are there anyparticular red carpet trends this year?
There is a trend forsoft, tousled styles as seen on Glee?s Lea Michele at this year?s GoldenGlobes. It?s a pretty and flattering style that can work for most face shapes.I think we will always see the classic red-carpet style. January Jones (also atthe Golden Globes) wore a beautiful polished shoulder length wave which I callThe Hollywood. An old-school up do is always popular ? both Natalie Portman andEva Longoria recently wore chic swept up styles.

How do you keep yourstyle looking fabulous?
It?s about preparationand the products you use, but also about choosing a style that works for you.Always keep a mini hero product, such as hairspray, in your handbag if youcan.  Try the new Takeaways Shine MaxHold Hairspray (£1.99) which keeps hair in place and looking polished.

Are there any miracleproducts or hair tools which are small enough to slip into a tiny evening bag?
Keep some hair gripsin your bag if you are have an Up Do ? these can be lifesavers.
Handbag essentials: The mini Takeaways Shine MaxHold Hairspray and a Mason Pearson brush.

What?s in yourbackstage kit?
It?s huge and I?mforever adding to it.  A good brush isessential ? I love Mason Pearson as well as my own range.  Basics such as hair grips, bands, rollers arealways in my kit and I always have to make sure I?ve got volumisingproducts.  Dry shampoo is so fantasticand versatile that it has to be one of my favourite products ever.

What?s the best tipfor a party-goer whose Up Do unravels?
Don?t panic! If it?sjust a few tendrils framing the face, let them fall. If too much hair isunravelling, leave the hair down. As it?s been pinned up, when you shake itdown, it should hopefully tumble into a soft, sexy wave.

Do come back for thelast part of these awesome tips for the BAFTA beauty experts!
