Beef & Noodle Stir Fry with Chili Black Bean Sauce
Inspired by Jamie Oliver, I tried a variation of his one-pot black bean sauce stir fry. I think next time I will use red curry paste instead. Although the chili black bean sauce has more of a kick, it was a tough ingredient to find and I didn't like the taste as much.
Ingredients 1 Tbl sesame oil 2 Tbl peanut oil 2 Tbl chili black bean sauce Thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger, grated (I use a mini food processor - takes much less time) 2 cloves garlic Half bunch scallions, minced Small bunch fresh cilantro, roughly chopped Veggies - I used carrots, bok choy, mushrooms, squash, zucchini Very thinly sliced steak Cooked noodles (optional - if too spicy) coconut milk Directions Heat oil in a wok over medium heat. Add garlic and scallions and cook for about 3 minutes. Add ginger, cilantro and black bean sauce. Sautee veggies, then transfer them to a bowl with a slotted spoon. Sautee thinly sliced beef, about 30 seconds per side. Transfer it to the bowl as well. Add cooked noodles to the wok, heating them in the sauce. Pour meat and veggies back into the wok and mix. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add coconut milk if too spicy. Serve immediately. Cook time 15 minutes related searches : Beef
