Bellingham Downtown Gallery Walk
var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www."); document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E")); My Nanny and very good friend is leaving town :( forever? :( I hate to say that but it will at least be for an incredibly extended period of time. She's leaving next Tuesday so tomorrow we're going to do the downtown gallery walk before meeting up with some other friends! I have lived in Bellingham for the general whole of my life, sans living in London and other various places. In all that time, I have only done the gallery walk once. You could say I haven't been back because I didn't feel very 'welcome' in the atmosphere. That being said, I was about 13 years old. My best friend, another gal and I decided that it would be fun to have a night of culture, only to be met by annoyed shop keepers that really didn't want close to pre-teen girls in their space. Ok, I suppose to some degree I get that; however, we were very well behaved pre-teens so poo to you! Onward and upward: Let's try it again at 30!! I am sure we will be greeted with a much different demeanor... if not, I guess I won't be going back for another 17 ish years :) I don't mean to poo poo it because I think it's a great thing! I'm actually really looking forward to wandering the shops and art galleries while enjoying 'coffee' and girl chat with one of my favorites! I just hope that this day and age they appreciate a 13 year old visitor a little more than they did back then :) try { var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-13117221-1"); pageTracker._trackPageview(); } catch(err) {} related searches : Bellingham
