Blizzard Shenanigans.

By my little celebration (Visit website)

Before I get to blizzard talk, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who left such sweet comments on my guest post over at Moves ‘N Munchies the other day. It was so encouraging to hear that you enjoyed my thoughts and pictures and had so much in common with me. It warmed my heart, so thanks again!

Also, I have received A LOT of recipes for my “Gimme Your Recipes” game (thanks you guys!) and I’m going to announce the winner on Monday’s post. So, stay tuned to see which recipe I pick as well as a short video of me enjoying a few bites of my new dish! It may be awkward but life is short, so why not post a video of yourself eating, right? I hope so…

OK, enough talk. Onto the sweet stuff!

BLIZZARDS

The other night I made a trip to Dairy Queen – which is unfortunately WAY too close to our house – because John and I were craving something sweet (I can’t do without my sweets!). I was already pretty full from dinner so I thought I’d give the mini blizzard a try.

Have you tried the mini yet?

I think miniature things are so cute: baby shoes, mini soda cans, people who are shorter than me…

Little versions of things are just adorable!

So, I ordered a mini banana cream pie blizzard (my absolute favorite) and hurried home to devour it.

But first, some pictures were in order.

So creamy and delicious! They did forget my whipped cream, but I’ll let it slide this time.

It even had a mini spoon!

Since it was my first time having a mini blizz, I asked John to take A PICTURE of me with it. But, he was being quite the mischevious camera man and shenanigans ensued.

This is just about where I started to lose it…

He obviously knows how to make me laugh, which he often uses to his advantage.

Shenanigans aside, the blizzard was delicious. Despite how tiny it looked, it was just the right size for what I was craving and left me perfectly satisfied – not too much, not too little.

I think this may be my new go-to at DQ. Now I can’t wait until summer when we can ride our bikes down and get ice cream! Those will be the days….

What is your go-to blizzard flavor or favorite ice cream treat?
Which ice cream shop do you visit most often?

Do share :D . I’d love to hear from you.

Until next time, goodbye friends!
- Dana

So I don't know if this applies to the rest of you, but when I think of lobster, I think of the term "surf-and-turf." My mind tends to prefer the "surf" half of that term, evoking images of summer, beaches, and the sizzle of a grill.[...]
