Today is the 1st Anniversary of this little old blog! Before 22.4.09 I rarely baked, but I have always loved to cook and to feed! To make a cake or dish which someone else loves is a bit like an adrenaline rush to me, my stomach literally flutters when something I have made is relished by someone else. I have learnt so much over the past 12 months. I believe I am only just beginning my journey - there is so much more to learn and to be inspired by. I am now buying more seasonal food, eating more local produce and I loathe throwing any food away. What I would like most is to hunt down my old Home Economics teacher and shove a big bun in her face to prove I was never quite as bad as she said I was (admittedly my cheese and potato pie did explode in the oven as I used the wrong dish!!) hee hee. More than anything I would like to thank all you lovely folk who have followed me, left kind words of encouragement and have inspired me in so many ways. I can honestly say that blogging has enriched my life so please join me in sipping a glass of virtual champagne and a huge slice of virtual cake! With my love and thanks, Lucie XX
