Braised beef brisket - chinese style

this is called this "ngow lum" in cantonese. i love braised beef brisket... esp with wanton noodles. i made this today. it really not difficult at all. 

first, fry bay leaves, cinnamon stick, cloves, star anise, ginger and garlic in saucepan. add the beef and fry for 5-1o mins. then, season with light and dark soy and sugar. add liquid and bring to a boil. then, simmer for about 2 hours or until the beef is tender.
