Broiled BBQ Chicken Wings!
Mmm...Saturday and Sunday's at this house are football days, days where we relax, make a mess ( I hate that part), and watch different games. Mostly Mac does the game watching and I get down and dirty with the kitchen with whatever new recipe I am excited about. BUT I am a few days from a grocery trip so not so many ingredients to play with. So we had the basic football food. Wings!
It's a pretty easy recipe and I learned most of it from my Pop who, by the way, is my current teacher. He just doesn't know it. So here's what we do. Let's boil those chicken wings in some water. Flavor that water with some season salt and heck, toss in a bay leaf. This water by the way, when it's finished boiling the chicken, is good stock! Okay, so lil chicken wings boiled and finished. Here comes the sauce! 3/4 cup honey 1/2 stick of butter 1 tbsp. vinegar 1/2 cup ketchup 2 tsp. Dijon mustard 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1 clove crushed garlic salt n' pepper to taste! Combine these and let them simmer for about five minutes. Toss with wings to coat and put them into a broiler pan and in the oven to broil for about five minutes. Maybe less...just until that sauce is all bronzed and the edges of the wings are getting crispy! I don't do grills in the winter...yet...and hate to fry foods so this recipe rocks for us. related searches : Broiled
