Broiled Sea Scallops

This is my first experience with Sea Scallops. I have never seen or tasted a sea scallop before..So when  I bought it I was even more curious.



I came home and searched internet for Sea Scallop recipe.  I found many. But most of them needed extra fancy ingredients. So I decided to go with my usual seasoning. 

I should say I was a bit surprised by the shape of the fish..It really looks like a small cylinder (was expecting a long fillet...) 

I really was not in a mood to fry... So naturally broiling was the option for the crunchy appetite I was craving.


I washed the fish and dried it with paper towel. (I really was not patient enough to stay till water was completely drained...My stomach was already growling out of hunger....)

Then in a dish I mixed some oil with salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder and little pepper.
I arranged the scallops in the baking tray and without dripping I slowly coated the mix on the fish.
I put on Hi- Broil for 10 min. 
Then I turned each piece upside down and coated the mix.
I put on Hi-Broil for another 8 min for this side to cook ...

I ate it right away...I couldn't resist the cry from my poor stomach anymore...
