Burger and Spaghetti

Joey used a burger wallpaper on the laptop last week. The picture is so mouth-watering that everytime I use the computer I stare on the desktop for a few minutes before continuing whatever I wanna do. teehee. We’ve decided to make the picture real by making our own home-made burger. As for the spaghetti, Hendrix said that it’s his birthday that day so we cooked him his favorite spaghetti.


Here are the ingredients:


For home-made burger:




almost ¾ ground lean beef


Burger buns


Oil for frying


1 white onion sliced


1 cucumber sliced


2 big tomatoes sliced


lettuce


cheese


mayonnaise


1 teaspoonful sliced pickles


salt


pepper


For spaghetti:



¾ penne pasta (cooked)


1 560 ml of spaghetti sauce (Italian Style)


1 250 ml of spaghetti sauce (Mushroom flavor)


3 70g sachet of tomato paste


2 small cheddar cheese spread


1 240 ml can of pineapple juice


1 small can of mushroom


½ kilo of ground pork


2 medium red onion, chopped


5 pcs. garlic, minced


7 pcs. tomatoes, diced


3 pcs. small carrots, diced


2 pcs. small bell pepper, diced


8 pcs. cheese hotdog, sliced


Oil for sautéing


water


salt


pepper


Preparation:


Patties:




In a bowl, mix the ground beef, salt, and pepper with your hands.
Flatten the beef into patty using your hands. Make it ¾-inch thick and 5 inches in diameter.
Fry the patty in the pan for 5-4 minutes but make sure to flip it every 2 minutes.
Remove the patty from the pan and put it in the paper towel to remove excess oil.

Burger:




In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, pickles, salt, and pepper.
Spread some of the mixture in the burger bun and place the patty.
Add the letuce, tomatoes, onions, and cheese.

Spaghetti:




Sauté the onion and garlic until golden brown and then add the ground pork.
Wait for the ground pork to cook, usually takes 5-7 minutes in medium heat fire.
Add the hotdog, carrots, and sliced mushrooms. Saute for 3-5 minutes
Add all the sauce, cheddar cheese spread, pineapple juice, and 1cup of water.
Put salt and pepper to taste. Add the bell pepper.
Simmer for 10-15 minutes. Stir every every 3 minutes to avoid the sauce sticking in the bottom of the pan.
Add grated cheese on top of the pasta spaghetti.
