Cable Outage & Cherry Pie Oats.

By Newtritionista (Visit website)

Apologies, fellow blog readers! Our cable was out all day for our entire block! And since our internet is through our cable, I was not able to blog. :-( I'm sure I was much more disappointed with the situation than any of you were, haha! But that's mainly because I made an absolutely SUPERB breakfast and I wanted to share it with everyone RIGHT AWAY.

CHERRY PIE OATS
1/2 cup quick oats1 cup water1/4 cup light vanilla soy milk2 T. sugar free maple syrup1/4 cup Fiber One1/3 cup Sugar Free Cherry Pie Filling1/4 cup cereal or granola of your choice
I made the oats on the stove this morning, which just makes them so much better than microwaving! This made a HUGE bowl, though. And for some reason, I ate about 1/8 of this and was SOOOOOOOO full. So I gave the rest to Kris, who gobbled it up and loved it.

I also switched up my usual coffee for a cup of Celestial Seasonings Gingerbread Spice Tea.

Since I didn't eat as much for breakfast, I was pretty hungry midmorning. I snacked on half of a Kashi Pumpkin Spice granola bar around 9:45ish. It did the job, and carried me until lunchtime!

***Sidenote: I was pretty irritated this morning when I got to work at 7am and saw that my schedule had been swtiched and I didn't need to be there for another half hour! I mean, I know it's only a half hour, but STILL A half hour of sleep can mean alot to the body!

LUNCH
Gotta love me some leftover spaghetti squash! Pretty much the same as last night, with a little bit more parmesan cheese on top.

I also had a juicy pear and a Cherry Coke Zero. :-)

After work, I came home to find that the cable was still out. Kris came home not long after. We sat around, talking "potential wedding" plans and having a couple of beers. Then we decided to head to Mankato to buy his Halloween costume (to go w/ mine, of course). We found an awesome one for him, I'm SUPER exicted!!!! After shopping, we stopped at Buffalo Wild Wings for a couple of wings and a "Adam's Apple" - half Sam Adams, half hard apple cider. VERY GOOD. Sorry, no pictures! It was pretty boring anyway, and I didn't eat a whole lot. I'm pretty tired and starting to not feel very well again. Hmmm... maybe I should lay off the beers, huh?

Goodnight everyone!
