Channa Dal Halwa
Channa Dal Halwa Serves: 6 Ingredients 450 g channa dal, soaked overnight or 5 - 6 hours 4 - 5 cups water 350 g sugar 225 g ghee / unsweetened butter 1 teaspoon ground small cardamom seeds 50 g coarsely ground almonds 1 cup milk Sliced almonds and pistachio nuts for garnish Method Cook channa dal with 4 - 5 cups of water until dal is tender and liquid has evaporated.
Blend the dal until evenlty mashed. In a non stick pan melt ghee and sugar. Add mashed dal, cardamom powder, ground almond and milk and cook until thick, approximately 10 minutes. Remove into a serving dish and garnish with sliced almonds and pistachio nuts. related searches : Channa
