Channa/Chole masala
Channa masala, sounds familiar rt?? I think ther's no household in india not making this wonderful dish. I don't know who discovered this yummy dish but i salute those people from my heart... A BIG THANKSSSSSSSSS
Ingredients: Channa -- 1 cup or 1 can Tomato puree -- 1 and a half tomato Chopped green chilly -- 1 tsp Besan flour -- 1 spoon Water -- 1 cup Salt -- according to ur taste Hing -- 1 dash Turmeric powder --1/4 tsp Redchilli powder -- 1/2 tsp Coriander powder -- 3 tsp Cumin seeds -- 1 tsp Corainder leaves -- 1 sprig Oil -- 2tbsp Ginger garlic paste (gg) -- 1tbsp Method : Soak the channa overnight and pressure cook for 3 whistles. Actually, i used canned channa that makes the job easy. U don't hv to soak it which i always forget to do that part and u don't have to cook it seperately. Take a hollow pan adding oil ,when it's hot drop in the hing, cumin seeds. Let them splutter. Once it's done add the besan flour and fry till it turns golden brown, take additional care while doing it,we don't want any other colour !!! :) . Now comes the tomato puree in ,chopped chillies,gg paste and all the masala's ( turmeric powder, redchilli powder, corainder powder, salt) Saute all this well enough so that u don't smell anything raw and keep continuing the process until u see the oil oozes out of it. It's the right time to add our channa and water. Give it a stir and cook till the channa becomes tender. Mash some of the channa to get the creamy texture.. This goes well with roti, poori, batura.... u know what ? am gonna make batura...Well, what r u waiting for ? Go ahead ,start making and start digging!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy eating guys.... related searches : Channa
