Chicken Adobo Bento
You know what they say, ” don’t fix it if it’s not broken!” And that’s exactly what’s going on in my kitchen of late. Chicken and rice. Packed in stainless steel box. Sound familiar? A winning formula that doesn’t need improvement. Well okay, bamboo rice is a slight deviation. Chicken adobo was made for rice in my opinion. When the pot’s empty, Saba Man loves a bowl of hot rice sprinkled with the leftover adobo sauce. Add a scrambled egg and he calls it breakfast. Oh that’s an excellent bento idea…just need to pack the sauce separately, then he can mix when he’s ready to eat. Let’s get through this bento first! Again, that’s bamboo rice? hence the green color, with gomashio, nori and takuan. Edamame, tomatoes and a mushroom bao fill the remaining space. The bay leaf I left on the chicken for effect. It smells nice and I figured it would enhance the aroma of this lunch when Saba Man opened the lid. He said it worked. —————————— For more bento tips, information and recipes subscribe to hapa bento via your email or newsreader. related searches : Chicken
