Chicken Hariyali with coconut
Chicken Hariyali Ingredients 500 g boneless chicken Ingredients for the marinade 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 tablespoon ginger - garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon 1 tablespoon lemon juice Marinate chicken with salt , turmeric powder, ginger - garlic paste and lemon juice . Keep aside for half an hour. Ingredients for coconut masala 1 cup grated coconut 6 green chillies 1/2 cup coriander leaves 1/4 cup mint leaves 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds Half cup water Make a fine paste of grated coconut , green chillies, coriander - mint leaves and cumin seeds adding by half cup of water. Other ingredients 2 finely sliced onions 2 - inch cinnamon sticks 5 cloves 5 peppercorns Salt to taste 1 tablespoon oil Method Heat oil in a pan , stir fry cloves , cinnamon and peppercorns till you get a nice aroma. Add finely sliced onions and saute till golden color.
Add chicken pieces and saute on a low heat for 5 -7 minutes. Add ground coconut paste and adjust thickness with water . Add salt , cover with a lid and cook on a low heat for 15 to 20 minutes or till done. Serve hot with rice / chapatis. related searches : Chicken
