Chicken Xacuti
1kg chicken or mutton,cleaned and cut to pieces, 2 large potatoes cubed, 2 large onions finely chopped, 3tsps coriander seeds, 8 kashmiri chillies, 1/2tsp cumin seeds, 1tsp fenugreek seeds, 5 peppercorns, 2tsp almonds or peanuts, 1/2 coconut grated, 4 cardamoms, 6 cloves, 1/2tspn turmeric, 1" piece cinnamon, 1tbsp vinegar, salt to taste. Method:- 1.Dry roast the coriander, Kchillies,cumin,fenugreek,peppercorns,peanuts/almonds and coconut on a pan , 2 Add the tumeric, cardamoms,cloves and cinnamon and grind together with the above roasted ingredients using some water to form a fine paste, 3 In a vessel ,heat some ghee add the chopped onions and fry till golden brown than add the ground masala/paste and fry till oil seperates, 4 Add the chicken and potatoes , mix well to coat the chicken pieces add some water .cover and cook till done . 5 Once ready add the vinegar and cook for few mins. related searches : Chicken
