Chocolate Filo Purse
I did however bake a few of the Chocolate Filo Purse's to see how they baked up and how chocolaty and tasty they would be as I have never baked with filo dough before. They're good, real good! Chocolate Filo Purse Here's what you'll need: A box of Filo Dough6 tbsp unsalted butter Chocolate, I used semi-sweet, but bittersweet, milk, or dark chocolate would be just as good, I think butterscotch would be good too, or even a square of carmel. Here's what you'll do: ~Unroll the filo dough and place a lightly damp rag over them so as you working with other the pile of them does not dry out. ~Melt butter ~Take one sheet of dough and brush it with butter, repeat two more times, giving you 3 layers of dough and butter ~Cut dough length wise down the middle and twice the other way, creating 6 square. ~Add an ounce of chocolate, I used chips, and bring corners together and give them a squeeze and twist a bit so they create a bit of a "purse". ~Bake on 350 fr 10 minutes or until golden brown, allow to cool a bit before serving {chocolate will burn you tongue, trust me, I know ;-) } With one roll of Filo I was able to make 35 (I think, I counted at 28 then finished the roll, but didn't make too many after, so that's a guesstimate)
