Chocolate, Getaway and Giveaway
Back home. What was supposed to be a week away turned into 13 days away. I have lots of fun, laughed until my cheeks hurt and played hide and seek more than ever. For almost two weeks I put my cook/baker/blogger job aside. I needed that. Probably some of you already saw a couple of photos I took (shared them on facebook). I didn't take as many as probably you had expected and none at the restaurants we ate. We had lots of fish, lots of ice cream and lots of chocolate candies. If you decide to visit Myrtle Beach I'd advise you to try the seafood restaurants in Murrells Inlet. Every time we went there we tried new restaurant and a new dish. Although the presentation is not a 5 start one, they get two thumbs up for the taste! For the chocolates I highly recommend Wee R. Sweetz located in North Myrtle Beach. I discovered this small store last year while taking a walk and since then I can't get it out of my mind. There are probably around 10 small chocolate candy stores in Myrtle Beach but this one stole my heart. If you love coconut-chocolate combo, you must try Malibu coconut truffles (not shown in my photos) I also heard couple of good reviews about a cupcakery located in Murrells Inlet, Ndulge, but they're open until 5 pm and never made it in time. There's always next time. If you don't like fish, chocolate or cupcakes and still visit Myrtle Beach, please, take a day to visit Brookegreen Gardens. This Gardens were born in 1930 when Archer Huntington and his wife, the famous sculptor, Anna Hyatt Huntington bought the 6,635 acres property they read about plus several thousands acres. You'll find a place where history, art and nature come together perfectly. Drums please ..... Because I love you Because everything is green outside Because I love this time of the year And because I want it ![]() One of the lucky reader will receive a book of hers/his choice (book paid by me, no one sponsored this giveaway) Due to shipping rates, the giveaway is opened to US only (I'm sorry my international friends) To enter the giveaway 1.
