CHORIZO Y CAMARONES (Spanish sausage and shrimp) - Bragging Rights
We are all allowed to have bragging rights when it comes to ones own grandchildren. They say boys will be boys, but little girls are special. I am blessed with two of them. I already wrote a post on Ashley Rose and her pie crust delight and now it it?s Mikayla?s turn. She is my youngest, all of 6 and quite the sweetheart. Likes her monster movies, wants to be a Zombie for Halloween and prettty soon she will start cheerleading. I spent the weekend with her and her brother, Gabriel who just turned 16 and who just adores his little sister. Another day I will write about him or at least when I get permission to do so. Sixteen?do I have to say more. We went food shopping for snacks and came home with chorizos and shrimp. Not the normal kind of snack you were thinking. We decided to put the two together and added some pasta to the dish. You see Mikayla is not too much into sweets...she likes her veggies, fruits and would rather have a salad as her school lunch than a pizza. Recipe: 4 chorizos sliced 18-20 Jumbo shrimp 4 garlic cloves, crushed 1/2 cup of chicken broth 2 tablespoons of olive oil 1/2 lb. of ziti 4 tablespoons of olive oil 3 cloves of garlic, sliced Heat oil and sauté garlic. Add the chorizo toss for about 5 minutes then add shrimp. When shrimp turn slightly pink add your chicken broth and heat through for another few minutes. Cook pasta as per package instructions and drain. Once you have sautéed the garlic and oil add pasta, shrimp and chorizo. Mix well and serve. ? ? Buen Provecho! related searches : Chorizo
