Christmas Gift Ideas (Part 1)
Wilton Christmas cutters (comes in set of 4 ) Small batch of cookies this time Cookies in drying process. Notice that gingerbread man is no where to be seen? That is because I only made 3 and the children wants to eat the 'little man' so poor little man was gone even before it got decorated. So do make more of the gingerbread man if the gifts are for children. Christmas tree to put the presents under, gift socks for presents to appear and stars to wish upon. What else can anyone ask for?All packed ready to be given away Another option is to put the cookies on a stickSince Christmas is coming soon, I have been thinking of many gift ideas that is special, memorable and meaningful (since it is self-baked) for giveaways to friends and relatives. Here is one of them. So try it out and put a smile on someone's face during this festive season. Recipe of the cookies can be found here. For the royal icing decorations, I used Wilton Christmas red, Burgundy, Lemon yellow and Black (for the stars' eyes). The green is Leaf Green from Chefmaster. Some kind of luck I have. Every time I start to decorate my cookies, it rains and the damp weather seems to make my drying process longer. But nevertheless, I am happy with the result this time : ) Note: Cookies made on sticks are more fragile than the rest. So, when decorating these cookies, make sure that you handle them gently.
