Confession

By The Kitchen Minions (Visit website)

confession: I?ve never had a fresh fig before.  I see so many interesting fruits and vegetables on these blogs but since I don?t go grocery shopping I don?t always get the opportunity to check this stuff out.  On the other hand, not going shopping means that my head doesn?t get turned by every new product I see.

With Dan away last weekend I had an opportunity to go shopping and lo and behold I saw some figs at Whole Foods.  These were pretty good.  I think they could have used a pinch of salt and a bit longer in the oven.  figs-009 All of this being said, figs taste like plant, sort of like okra did.   I?m glad I tried them but I don?t think I need to have any more.  Is there a better way to make these?
