Cooking = Dishes

By Marens Morsels (Visit website)

I seem to find endless reasons not not go home and cook. The most prominent being dreaded dishes. Plus I just don’t seem to find yummy veggie things to make with in my pantry and cabinets. I was planning on making a couple bbq sauces but my afternoon has been filled up with smallish tasks that must be completed since its Friday so… no Saucy- Sweet Friday this week ;-) .

Lunch

I was working at the office on a couple projects for the children’s theater I volunteer at (and occasionally actually work at… non profits never have a steady income which leads to a similar theme with employees) and everyone here at the office was going to good old Bahama Grill for an early lunch.

I definitely wasn’t hungry yet… that pancake this morning was so yummy and filling (such a perfect combo no?!) I probably could have put off lunch until 1pm :shock: . But due to not being inspired by anything in my fridge to make later I tagged along. I’m really starting to NOT want to eat when I’m not hungry, so cool, Maren is becoming an Intuitive Eating Master! I ordered one of my staples; the Blackened Mahi Sandwich that comes on a toasted french roll with lettuce, tomato, blackened mahi, and a tartar sauce. It is a full sandwich on the roll and then is accompanied by fries.

I ate the half I’m holding, it was the smaller half, and not even a fourth of the fries! Wooo Hoo, I love fries but Bahama grill puts some pretty insanely good sweet and salty baked chips that I think are fried tortilla triangles topped with salt, sugar, and maybe paprika (or some other reddish seasoning), and I ate two chips while waiting for my sandwich and then 1 tentacle of calamari from my brothers disregarded plate… so I thought that was enough fried food at lunch time. Ever since I cut out fast food and eating heavily fried foods from my daily diet, when I eat too much fried food it makes my tummy very very mad at me.

Workin’ On My Fitness

I’m crazy sore today from doing so much working out this week. I don’t think I’ve gotten a full 5 days in a row in for about a month. So today I’m planning a pilates sesh (short for session) later this afternoon. I want to do something to get my summer started off on the right foot toward a routine. I like being active and I need to make it a priority for these next two weeks when I don’t have school getting in my way.

A Small To Do List for This Afternoon…

Get Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat Poster edited, completed and driven over to the theater

If there is time move my workspace at theater to new room

Do my 45 minutes of Pilates!!!!!!!!!

Finish Laundry (This is a long shot at this point, but I want it done SO bad!)

I’ll have a sweet treat somewhere in here this afternoon… I’m a scheming away at what it will be, but I don’t want to divulge it yet! I’m waiting til I feel a little more empty/hungry though before it happens. Catch everyone tonight! Celebrate the weekend Wooo Hoooo ;-) !
