Cottage Cheese in Spinach gravy (Palak Paneer)
Ingredients
Fried paneer cubes - 100 grams Green chillies - 2 Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp (or 1/2 inch ginger finely chopped) Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp Garam masala - 1/2 tsp Salt - 3/4 tsp (adjust to taste) Turmeric powder - a pinch Asafoetida - a pinch Lemon juice - 1 tbsp Oil - 1 tsp Method Boil the washed palak/spinach in minimal water for a few minutes until the leaves turn bright green. Cool and blend to a coarse paste along with green chillies, ginger and a little water. Heat oil and add asafoetida. Add palak mixture, turmeric powder, cumin powder and garam masala. Stir and cook covered for a couple of minutes. Add paneer and lemon juice. Simmer for a couple of minutes and serve hot. related searches : Cottage
