Creative Parenting
Being a mom of a toddler isn't easy. It requires patience and creativity...and when you're exhausted, you have to conjure up every little ounce of I-can-do-this-ism as possible.
I thought I was doing my girl right by purchasing some gummy organic vitamins. I did a taste test at my friend's house the other day (her son eats these), and just knew Miss Marilyn would love them. Turns out, the sugar coating on them hurts her tongue. Or something. She just kept screaming "hurt!" at me while engaging in a push-of-war fight with the gummy bears. Oy. So I patiently waited a few weeks (hoping she wouldn't suddenly catch a cold, instantly making me blame it on her refusal of eating her vitamins). I decided that I needed to make them fun to eat, so she would enjoy it. And I had hide the sugar coating. Or whatever. She was just being over dramatic. Here is my solution. Skewer the little bears on tooth picks, and let her dip them in all natural peanut butter -- and change the name to Jelly Bears. Peanut Butter adds protein and fiber...and covers up the sugar coating. Voila! Yep. I'm a genius. *takes a bow* related searches : Creative
