Cinnamon-maple rice pudding

Ingredients: 1/2 cup uncooked rice - I used long-grain 1 cup plus a little bit more water 1 cup 2% milk 1 teaspoon maple syrup 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 cup white sugar 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon Pinch of ground cloves 1 tbsp butter |
Preparation: 1. Cook rice in water over medium heat, until all the water has been adsorbed. 2. Stir in milk, sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla extract and let simmer until rice takes on a creamy consistency. 3. Add cinnamon, cloves, and butter and cook for a few more minutes. 4. Ladle into serving dishes. Cool and serve. |
