Ingredients:
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup vanilla caster sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp jam (cranberry, raspberry or blackberry)
1 cup flour
1 heaped tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup buttermilk
extra cocoa powder, icing sugar and powdered cinnamon for dusting

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 180 ºC.

Beat butter and sugar until creamy.
step 3
Add egg, and jam and beat until combined.
step 4
Transfer mixture to a large mixing bowl and fold in flour, cocoa,baking powder and buttermilk. Stir until smooth.

Spoon mixture into a greased loaf tin and smooth surface.
step 6
Bake for 35 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.
step 7
Leave in tin for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool.
Dust with combined cocoa powder, icing sugar and cinnamon.
