Preparation:
Its up to you on how you would like to layer the brulee using the 4 elements. Let me share on how I did it with the suggestions that comes along:
You need 4 small over proof dishes and ramekins makes a good choice.
The choice of making one big brulee can also be considered.
Choose which element you would like to press into the greased dish first.
Pecan and sugar does not work as the first layer, so go for crumble or pumpkin.
The thickness again is subjective as you prefer.
After the bottom layer, pecan or sugar works best on top.
Then you can press in with a choice of the crumble or pumpkin.
If you like, another thin layer of pecan or sugar again.
The finale or the last layer can be pecan, sugar and with another sprinkle crumble.
Once done, the brulee goes into the oven (preheated at 190c) for about 40 mins or till the top layer becomes light to dark brown in colour.
I made all four with sugar as the last layer but one had a sprinkle of crumble on top/
