Double beans/ Lima beans curry

I am happy to post my MIL's recipes, she is good in cooking seafood and also well verse in handicrafts. Yesterday only we were talking about to send the recipes of her to post ,today i received mail from my FIL with his beautiful snaps of  her recipes.She is not feeling well for past 1 week even she has taken interest on her own tried different recipes. My FIL is good in photography immediately took lot of snaps after she finished cooking and send me the pictures through email. I will post my MIL's handicrafts pictures and my FIL's gardening ,natural sceneries pictures on tomorrow.How Sweet both of them!!!!. I was very happy on seeing the mail with recipes and am now posting the recipes of her. Till now you were enjoying only Mine and my Hubby's cooking, hereafter start to try my MIL's traditional recipes.  Here is the recipe for you.


Ingredients:

1.Cooked Double beans - 1 cup
2.Broad beans - 5 no's
3.Chopped onions - 1 cup
4.Chopped tomatoes - 1 big
5.Curry leaves - few
6.Coconut paste - 5 tbsp
7.Chopped coriander leaves - few
8.Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
9.Coriander powder - 2 tsp
10.Turneric powder - a pinch
11.salt -to taste

For seasoning:

1.Oil - 2 tsp
2.Fennel seeds - 1 tsp

Preparation :

1.Soak the double beans in water for minimum 7 hrs or overnight.
2.Cook the double beans for 2 whistles in the morning and keep it aside.
3.Heat oil in the kadai and season the fennel seeds. Now add the chopped onions saute it for a while till turns translucent.
4.Add chopped tomatoes and salt, close the kadai with lid to cook in medium fire till the tomatoes get mash.
5.Then add all the powders and broad beans, close the kadai with lid to cook till the raw smell of masala powders goes off.
6.After 10 mts add the cooked double beans to the kadai, leave it for 10 mts to stick with masalas.
7.Lastly add the coconut paste and turn off the fire stir it well sprinkle the coriander leaves and curry leaves on top. Close the kadai with the lid for 10 mts.
8.My In-laws are enjoyed this double beans curry with Rice,Sambar and dried fish gravy.

Note:

In this double beans curry there is no ginger n garlic paste and no spices. After adding coconut paste don't allow the curry to boil immediately switch off the fire and close the kadai with lid.
