Easter Sunday

Happy Easter everyone!

It has been a non-stop day for me that started at 7:30 this morning when I awoke in Tampa. I had to book it to the other side of the state to spend Easter with my family so I made sure to wake up extra early to enjoy a nice breakfast with Derek.

I taught him how to make Waffle French Toast, where you basically use eggos in the place of bread for French Toast.

I had Strawberries on top of mine with a nice juicy Pear on the side.

I was excited to be able to drive home to spend Easter with my family. It’s actually the first Easter I have been home in 6 years! For some reason Easter was never a big enough holiday in my head to make the long drive home, but this year since I live so close and all four of my siblings were going to be in town I knew I had to be there.

My parents had made each of an Easter Basket to enjoy. I love Easter Baskets!

Mine had a Dove Dark Chocolate Bunny, Sour Patch Kids, a couple of eggs filled with assorted chocolates and 2 of my favoritest scones in the whole world. My parents know me so well!!

Of course I had to dig into my basket for a little snack. :)

I had about 1/4 of a Scone, my Chocolate Bunny’s Head and a mini Sugar Cookie.

This year the whole family was getting together at my Grandma’s House for Easter Lunch. My Grandma baked a ham and everyone brought a side dish.

I filled my plate to the brim with some amazing grub. I liked how there were plenty of veggies to choose from, I just wish they didn’t taste like they were all covered in butter.

I enjoyed a Sam Adams Winter Lager while chatting with the family.

I also had a homemade Peanut Butter Cookie and a small piece of Carrot Cake for dessert.

Kelly and I had fun telling out 15.4 mile Trail Race Tale.

She says she is a little sore, but recovering just fine. I think I almost have her talked into running the Disney Marathon with me in January. ;)

After dessert it was time to hide eggs for the little ones.

Can you get any cuter then this?

My Dad thought it would be fun to have an Adult Easter Egg Hunt as well.

No eggs needed for this one.

I did manage to steal a Reeses Egg from one of the younger one’s easter basket.

I may have managed to steal a couple more as well. ;)

I was stuffed the rest of the day and around 8:00 when I was ready for a light dinner all I wanted was Almond Butter.

I slathered Almond Butter on a Whole Wheat English Muffin with Strawberries on top and had an Orange and Carrots on the side with a dollop of Almond Butter. It was exactly what I was craving.

I hope every one had a wonderful Easter! My eyes are drooping and I am in desperate need of some sleep. I was surprised how great my legs felt today, I am actually very excited to get up tomorrow and complete an easy 4 miles run.

Good Night Everyone!
