Easy Oven Fries

By 2 Make Ends Meet (Visit website)

These homemade oven fries are a favorite at our house.

One of the things that is so great about them too, is that you can make them a little different each time, if you feel like being creative!

You can use white potatoes, red potatoes, and one of our favorites....sweet potatoes!  Mmmm!!!

You can season them with salt, pepper, parsley, thyme, rosemary, oregano.....the list goes on and on.

This is one of the side dishes that I make....without a recipe!  But let me share with you, just how easy these are to make.

Easy Oven Fries

(Printer-Friendly version)

*Potatoes (white, red, sweet...)  you will need to adjust how many you cut depending on the size of the potatoes, and how many people you are serving.  I prepared approximately 10 red potatoes for us last evening.

*Olive oil

*Creole Seasoning (Tony Chachere's Original...tasted a sample at Byerlys/Lunds & had to buy it!)

*Parsley

Preheat oven to 400*.  Wash potatoes in cool water.  Cut each potato lengthwise into wedges.  Depending on the size of the potato, I usually will cut 4 - 8 long wedges.

Place in a bowl and drizzle a little olive oil over the top.  Toss to coat.  Sprinkle with seasonings and toss again.

Place potatoes in a baking dish in a single layer.  If desired, sprinkle a little more seasoning on top of potatoes.

Bake in a 400* oven.  Turn potatoes over after 15 minutes.  Continue baking for 10 more minutes, or until potatoes are tender.

If you would like to try the Creole Seasoning, I see you can find it at Amazon.  No MSG!!!
