Family Night: Creating a Home
Family Night is for families who want more than to just make it though the next day. Family Night is for families who want to excel, for families who want to make themselves and their relationships better, for families who have a purpose. Family night is also catching on. More and more families are realizing that good relationships, moral children, smart decisions, and excellent character don't just happen, rather they happen when parents plan to teach and plan to succeed with their kids. You can be that kind of family too, no matter where you're starting from.
Tonight teach your kids to care about their environment. While the natural environment is important, that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about the environment in our homes. The home environment includes clean surfaces, organized cabinets, good music, pretty furnishings and wall coverings, a well tended yard and so on. So spend a few minuets planning spring cleaning and perhaps a spring project to make your home a little nicer. You might decide on a week or a few days to set aside as spring cleaning days. You might assign certain family members to be in charge of particular rooms or jobs. You might plan a project, like painting the bathroom, saving for a new piece of furniture, planting a flower bed, or something else to improve your environment in your home. Once the big planning is done, pick a room to organize and clean together to get you started in the right direction. Involve the whole family and remember to have your most patient face on. Turn on some fun music, give everyone a job, and a promise of a fabulous treat. This might be a good night to go out for milkshakes to make it extra special. When you work together it makes the work more fun and makes it go faster. You're teaching work ethic one on one face-to-face and with example. related searches : Family
