Flexa-what? :)
Happy Sunday everyone! It’s officially one week until my birthday! (April 3!) It’s the big 2-5!! Any ideas on how I should celebrate?? I just have to share this… I text my mom a lot…like a LOT. I don’t always have time to have a whole conversation so texting is the next best thing, and I do it throughout the day. And I was texting her last night about how I want to eat less and less meat and that all I want is fruit, veggies, and nuts. She told me to check out a website that talks about a new term for someone who eats meat only a few times a week. She called it a “Flexorexic“!!! Hahaha! Of course I corrected her and told her it’s Flexatarian but it totally made my night! She’s awesome. Too funny! This morning, I found one of my new items from the health food store that I had yet to try. It’s green! And what goes best with protein powder? Blended fruit goodness of course! vanilla whey protein, strawberries, banana Um…gross. The best word I can use to describe the taste is “chemical-ly”…not vanilla or strawberry or banana or any combo of the 3. So, I repeat, gross. The protein made the smoothie so thick that it could barely pour out of the blender. Take 2. Now THIS is perfection! And it’s so pretty and pink which makes it even better! strawberries, almond milk, strawberries n’ cream muscle milk Yum A little later I stuffed my face with some grapes and a thin whole wheat bagel with some natural PB. I headed to the gym today. Sunday is usually a rest day, but I’ve been slacking because of my wrist and I’ve been feeling very….blob-like! I was in dire need of a cardio blasty. So that’s what I did. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical on the interval setting, then 15 minutes of this beast on the treadmill at 6 mph. Glorious! And gloriously sweaty! I found this to be the perfect opportunity to try the last new item from the health food store to replenish after this workout. The verdict: Similar to O.N.E. water. I thought for sure I wouldn’t be a fan, but it’s quite tasty. I was kind of surprised, to be honest. I just thought I’d need some flavor to cover up the coconutty taste, but I sure didn’t! I’m off to make me a new workout playlist…mine’s long overdue.
