How was your Martin Luther King Jr. day??  Even though I had to work, it wasn?t too bad. 


By-the-way, thank you all for your input on watches?..Garmin watches are definitely the top pick among runners.  I had a variety of different Garmin watches recommended to me, so I?ve got some research to do.  When I pick a watch, I?ll let you know.  Again, thanks for your input!


Onward to the clean eating eats.  I actually photo documented all my food today.  Shock, I know!


Breakfast:


I haven?t changed up my breakfast much, or at all, really.

I just can?t branch out from PB banana oats or coffee.  I swear I could live on oatmeal for the rest.of.my.life!!


My Favorite Bowl of Oats:



banana
1/3 cup old-fashion oats
1/2 scoop chia seeds
2/3 cup water
spoonful PB
raisins

Directions:  Break banana up in the bottom of bowl, add chia seeds, oats, and water.  Microwave on high for 2 minutes.  Stir after cooking and add more water if you like your oatmeal creamier.  Stir in peanut butter, top with raisins.  Die happy!   ;)

And French pressed coffee fixed with truvia and frothed-to-perfection skim milk.


Now that?s how I like to start my day!


Midmorning Snack:


I kept it clean and simple with baby carrots and hummus

Lunch:


I ate lunch while driving today between schools.

I just recently discovered how good orzo pasta is. This was leftovers from our lunch yesterday?.orzo pasta topped with sauce [sauce, soy ?meat,? spinach, and onions].  I paired my lunch with a pink lady apple.  Don?t tell me you can?t eat healthy on the road!  ;)


Afternoon Snack:


The energy bars I made last week froze and thawed wonderfully!  I enjoyed one this afternoon for my afternoon/preworkout snack

Ok these might be my new favorite bar. [I know, I say that a lot!!]


Thanks to our con-artist kitty, I got locked out today. Yes?.it really is his fault!!  :)

Here?s the story:  We have to lock the door going from the house into the garage every time we go into the garage because he jumps up, twists the door knob, and opens the door.  He?s the magic escaping kitty.  Anyways I went into the garage, just about ready to leave for the gym and got locked out. Booo.  Hubby to the rescue, but while waiting?..





Bhahaha.  I?m such a dork!


Tonight?s workout consisted of 20 minutes on the bike and a PowerPump class. 


Dinner:


Dinner tonight was scrumdiddlyumptious.  :)

Tex Mex Turkey Sloppy Joes and Brussels sprouts.  Find the original clean eating tex mex turkey sloppy joe recipe here.  Of course I altered it though.  I nixed the chicken broth and tomatoes and used one 14.5 ounce of diced tomatoes instead.  Also instead of opening a whole can of tomato paste for 1 tbsp, I just subbed in 1 tbsp of pasta sauce that was already open in the fridge.

Veggie filled.  Spicy.  Husband approved.  Smile


Movie night with the hubby love.  Night!
