Friday Night
My little son was sick home from school, so I had all the time in the world to make dinner, but I was too preoccupied with him to have to slave around too much. So -grilled chicken legs were perfect. After countless ” tragically scorched remains” I learned that just like ribs, a good grilled chicken leg needs time and low flame. The rub was coarsely ground black pepper, paprika, thyme, garlic powder and sea salt (just to be fancy). We went and picked the first lettuces and green onions from the garden with some of it being green garlic actually. As suspected the coriander from last year has spread all over the place, so.. we picked some of that too. I was reminded of the difference in amount of work required to make your own salad, don’t get me wrong- it’s nice, it’s fresh, tasty, pesticide free, doesn’t cost any more than my time and a packet of seeds, but I object the washing, and mainly the drying of baby lettuce leafs - if anyone has a secret=please share. Anyways we added tomatoes, white onion, cauliflower and green pepper and tossed with blue cheese dressing. Tweet This! Share this on Facebook Stumble upon something good?
