Fridge upset

By Emily Eats Clean (Visit website)

Are you freakin’ kidding me?!?!  Mental breakdown has officially occurred, I believe.  I came home tonight to find that I had somehow managed to leave the fridge open just enough for everything to get nice and warm today.  What a depressing waste of money…….milk, eggs, greek yogurt, ground turkey, condiments, cheese etc. must all be thrown away now!  I’ve not faced actually having to empty the fridge……I just can’t face it yet  :(

And all I want is a glass of milk right now…..go figure!

Thank God tomorrow is Friday, this week has been long enough.  This morning I had to be at work early and since I got home from hanging out with my sister so late last night and got into bed even later than usual last night, I skipped out on my workout this morning.

Breakfast

I attempted to make breakfast extra filling this morning.  I knew my window of time between breakfast and lunch was longer than I like to go without eating, but not quite long enough to squeeze a snack in there.

In the mix:

1/2 cup oats
1.5 cups water (extra water because chia seeds absorb a LOT of H2o)
1 scoop chia seeds
1 banana
raisins
MaraNatha PB
cinnamon

Along with coffee.  But because I was running late and had to be at work early….I fixed coffee using the Keurig, instead of french pressed, with skim milk and 1 truvia.

Breakfast kept me full and gave me enough energy to chase a morning full of kids.  :)

Lunch

Have I mentioned yet that I was running late this morning?  No time for lunch packing.

Handsome delivery guy to the rescue….i.e.  my hubs  :)

Panera 1/2 and 1/2:  Fuji apple chicken salad, dressing on the side, no cheese and real apple slices instead of apple chips.  Blackbean soup and a whole grain baguette as my side.  Coffee with skim milk and truvia.

Snack

I opted for a new [to me] bar brand today for my afternoon snack.  This brand of bar was recently recommended to me by you all.

This bar was super good!  And it deserves the right to be boastful:

USDA organic
certified Gluten-free
has a full serving of fruit
rich in omega-3s
good source of fiber
raw
vegan
and has organic protein

Whoo hoo!!  And it was super tasty!  :)

Dinner

I had good plans for dinner originally.  But when you come home to find 1/2 of your dinner ruined thanks to the left-open fridge door, that kinda changes  your plans .  How about breakfast, AGAIN?

Vans waffles sandwich with MaraNatha PB and raisins along with some blackberries (that were cold from being in my lunch box all day) on the side.

I think I need a movie night with the hubs and some sleep.  Anyone agree?  :)
