Fun Stuff for the Kids

I love when my kids are home from school - I really do!  I am not a fan of the schedules they have and the constant chauffeuring I do.  Plus I just like to hang with them - they are pretty cool kids after all.  So what to do with them?  We found a a quick little craft to do the other day it was fun - we made some little simple felt flowers - even Little Man enjoyed it.  We made them on the 24th and were going to turn them into last minute ornaments but ended up displaying them in a small dish.  We each made one and some how Little Mans came out the best (his was the red one.)  I wish my picture came out better so you could see.



Here's what we did:

For each flower we cut strips of felt (thinner is better - I learned this too late - I would say 9" x 1")

Glue the ends of the strips together to form a loop

Layer all 4 loops in an "X" formation and glue the layers together

Embellish as you wish - we put a small colored circle on the flowers and then topped them with some"bling" - some big rhinestones I had lying around.



I think I may make a bunch of these with the kids around Valentines day and make a garland out of it.
