Gadget Frustration
Several months ago, I RAVED about the Nike + iPod gadget, especially for running. But, in the last few months, I have had nothing but problems with it! You may have noticed that I haven’t been recording my run stats like I used to, which is because the stupid thing hasn’t worked correctly in weeks! I’ve spent hours fiddling around with it and looking online for solutions, but I can’t figure out what’s wrong with it. Grrrrr… I’m so frustrated with the stupid gadget! I’m starting to think that I should just give up on it and get something else more reliable to track my runs. Runners– got any recommendations for me? Workout When my alarm went off at 5:01 this morning, I practically bounded out of bed! I slept in yesterday (by mistake) and hit the sack early last night, so those few extra hours of sleep really made a difference for me. I ran 4 miles on the treadmill while flipping between the news and Parental Control on MTV. Run stats: Distance: 4 miles Time: 38:55 minutes Pace: 9:43 I used the treadmill to track my distance and time, and Cool Running’s Pace Calculator to figure out my average pace. The treadmill also kept track of my burned calories, but I don’t put much stock in those machine estimates. They tend to overestimate like crazy. Breakfast This morning’s bowl of oats had an all-star cast of ingredients in it today! In the mix: 1/3 cup dry oats 1/4 cup wheat berries 1 large banana, sliced 1/2 cup vanilla hemp milk 1/2 plank of granola (cooked in) 1 tbsp hemp protein 1 scoop of Barney Butter After eating that bowl of oats, I am SO full!! But, I’m pretty sure it will hold me over just fine until lunchtime! With a multi vitamin and an Adora disk…
