Good Morning Sunny

By Marens Morsels (Visit website)

I?m always hustling to get my breakfast post in because I know east coasters are already eating lunch. I feel so behind haha.

Before we can talk about breakfast over some of your lunches we need to recap yesterday night.

Yesterday: Snack & Dinner

As I left class I munched this TLC Cherry Dark Chocolate Chewy Bar. But I knew I?d need a little more if I wanted to make it through my Practice Schedule. 4 hrs of coaching is a serious workout, I wish there was a way to see how many calories I burn so I could make sure I eat enough. Google maybe?

I stopped at a coffee shop, Surf City Coffee for an iced coffee with soy, splenda, and cinnamon. A soy iced coffee always keeps my hunger at bay, and the last minute shake of cinnamon made all the difference.

After practices, which the varsity was the best yet! All the girls are getting along and cheering for each other. They?re hustling in all the drills so much we didn?t even have to condition in the middle. I?m such a happy coach. Anyways, after practices I drove out to Max?s house in Monterey to have some dinner.

Yes, they have dark purple carpet in their house ;-) ! He made a sweet teryaki stir fry with noodles, red peppers, broccoli, carrots, and asparagus.  It also had some beef. It was super tasty since I was super hungry. It felt great to have someone make dinner for me.

Max made such a yummy dinner! I?ll have to trek out there more often around dinner time.

Today: Breakfast

I felt a little tired of oats this morning so I took it to protein, egg! A sunny side up egg to be precise. ?Good Morning Sunny ;-) ! I made a sourdough english muffin with butter and jam then made an egg to top one of the english muffin halves.

I used plumb jam on my english muffin. My cousin, who lives in Kansas, made plum jam this fall and sent us a few mini jars. I hadn?t tasted it until this morning and it?s delicious. I can?t believe I wasn?t enjoying this treat sooner.

Sometimes well, most times it pays off so much to listen to my body. This breakfast tasted so amazing simply because it was what my body wanted. Eggs never tasted so good.

I washed breakfast down with a mug of Cameron?s Coffee Pumpkin Spice. It tastes even better in my M mug.

Today should be somewhat low key. I have PT at 11am then Max is coming in to hang out a little at 2pm before I have practices. We haven?t seen each other too much since basketball started and I have practices all evening. 5pm to 9pm is prime boyfriend time. And now I fill it with 30ish sweaty-smelly teenage girls ;-) .

Tonight the Practice Schedule is?

Frosh: 5pm-7pm

JV and Varsity: 7pm-9pm

Question of the Day

Do you try to eat intuitively? What does eating intuitively mean to you?
