Gray

A week back it was taking me five minutes flat to walk from one room to the other. As if a visit to the hospital was in vain.

Typhoid is a sad thing. It wrenches all the energy and strength from your physical being. And I just recovered from it, fully cured with a warning against street food. Irritating, I know. But frankly, I still haven’t got tired of get-well-soon messages…..Mumbai hospitals suck in the food department. And they suck in a lot of other things too.

Anyways, sickness is depressing so lets just move on to the weather and how gray its been in Kolkata and Mumbai. The rains have finally decided to bring in a performance. Monsoon has finally said a proper “hello”. Mumbai’s drowning and Kolkata’s just plain angry at everyone, very evident from the non-stop thunder. Meanwhile, my visits to the kitchen have minimized slightly, but I plan to return with a vengeance….and something deliciously chocolatey!
