Gym, Fitness Class, & Running Pet Peeves, Nutritional Yeast Deals & Recipes, Crosswalk Buttons

By Love Veggies and Yoga (Visit website)

Hi Friends!  How has your Monday been?  Getting back to the grind after the ole' weekend sometimes is hard.  Hopefully it's been pretty painless.  Today I made my way to the actual gym after a few days worth of Garage Home Gym workouts.  It was nice to be back pumping iron with the stinky sweaty people and the grunters.  Kidding.  But it was nice to be back and I did get in a nice workout.

Remember the other day when I posted about some OpenSky Deals for you on Organic Skincare?

Well here's a deal for 1 Pound of Nooch (Nutritional Yeast) for $21

Or, check out iHerb.com (and use Coupon Code AVE630 to save $5 on your 1st order) for your nooch.

Here's the one I use for $11.47 for 22 ounces

If you're wondering what you'll make with a pound of nooch, don't worry, here's 15 Recipes Using Nooch.

Like One Pot Gluten Free Vegan Mac-N-Cheese with Nooch.   This will keep you warm in your tummy without having to use any Kraft Easy Mac!

And Here's the rest of the Nooch Recipes

From yesterday's post about my new Macbook and buying things on Craiglist or Ebay, many of you told me that you've gotten some great deals on CL or Ebay, but many of you said that you'd be a little fearful of buying bigger ticket items.
Clearly, based on some of the things I mentioned I've purchased on Ebay or CL and from the internet, I guess I just have thrown caution to the wind and have jumped on plenty of things deals that others may be scared to buy that way.  I'm such a rebel, I know.

Thanks for cluing me into your newest and favorite gum flavors, too.  I love to chomp, so suggestions are always welcome!

That new Key Lime gum is sooo good, though!

Questions
1. Best Thing You ate or Did Over the Weekend?

Mine was time with my family and my new Macbook!

2. Crosswalk buttons.  You know those little buttons that you can press if you want to use a crosswalk.  Do you use those?
I always see people pressing those buttons even when the light is going to change anyway, and they're going to get their "walk" signal with or without pressing the button.  But people compulsively press them.  Sorry, I don't get it.  I never press them.  Clue me in if I am missing something though!  Maybe it's like pressing an elevator button that's already illuminated; they just have to push it!

3. Do you have any Gym/Fitness Class Pet Peeves?  Those annoying, irksome little behaviors that fellow gym-go'ers exhibit.
Such as:
Not wiping down the machines after leaving sweat pools behind

Wearing too much cologne/perfume

Not wearing enough deodorant or in need of a shower, big time.  And stinking up the place, badly.

Talking on their cell phone excessively

Their music in their ipod is so loud that I can hear it.   Clearly they must be deaf from it being so loud.

Not taking their workout seriously.  I was watching this woman have a session with one of the
personal trainers and she was using 2 pound weights in each hand and was giggling and seeming to act like a klutz on purpose.  I wanted to scream.   And direct her to my post on strength training.   Lift heavy, and set down the 2-pounders!   I would rather someone not work out at all than take it as a joke.  We all have days we aren't as intense or "into it" as other days, and that's fine.  But that's very different than not taking it seriously or acting like the weightroom or the gym is one big joke giggling and acting like you're in junior high is just not how I approach things!  But to each her own.

Unrolling yoga mats and slapping them down really loudly on the floor.  Practice your zen my yogis. No mat slapping!

Sighing, huffing and puffing, or grunting to an excessive nature.  Some is fine, but that woman who is sighing and loudly breathing like she's having and orgasm in yoga class for an hour.  No, not cool.

Latecomers who are totally disruptive to the class or who make you move/slide down for them after they're late.

People who chitchat with each other during yoga or group fitness classes.

And as a runner, cars failing to yield to pedestrians

Cars not extending any courtesy to simply move over a bit and ride the shoulder and nearly clipping runners or pedestrians who are as far over as possible

These are my little gym, fitness class, and running peeves!  None of these are "that" big of a deal, and I don't let them get in the way of my workout and I tune them all out 99% of the time.  But do you have any Pet Peeves?
I hope my fellow fitness and exercise teachers, Erica, Gina, Naomi, Jessica, Bria, and more of you will chime in.  And of course the hardcore gym girls like KatieApril or April, too.  And the runners like Evan and Madeline.

Enjoy the rest of your Monday gang and I'll see you tomorrow!
Skylar and I are off for a walk in the gorgeous weather!
