Friday Happy Dance!!!

  source

Not only am I excited about the 3 day weekend, BUT Russell and I are going to see the new Twilight movie tonight.  :D   I have a great hubby!

I prepared for my workout this morning with some morning coffee and a slice of Ezekiel bread toasted, topped with MaraNatha PB and 1/2 of a nana

Carb+protein+good fats+fruit= perfect pre-workout snack

I was a total gym traitor this morning….eek

This morning I decided to participate in the last chance workout for the local Biggest Loser competition, called 8 to the 8′s that I’ve helped out/been involved with/participated in.  The host gym for this group is a local YMCA where Tyler and Kim both work out at.

This morning the group participated did a spin class with Tyler and then a weight class also.

Unfortunately, there weren’t enough bikes for the non-competition participates so we went out on the gym floor for 30 minutes of cardio on the ellipticals.

Today’s weight session was great!

It was nice getting in a 3rd day of weights this week.  I just hope my legs aren’t too sore tomorrow for my 4-mile Red, White, and Boom race!

And like always, Tyler was encouraging and entertaining.  :)

Breakfast

I was so ready for a bowl of oats this morning after than workout and getting ready for my day.

1/2 cup oats
1 cup water
1 scoop chia seeds
spoonful Naturally More PB
1/2 banana
dried, unsweetened cranberries

Along with my french pressed coffee, this breakfast was just what I needed.

I ended up adding a splash of unsweetened soy milk which helped to make this morning’s oats really creamy and delicious!

YAY again for it being Friday!!  Enjoy your last day of the work week.  :)
